Checkpoint‘s second 2016 quarter events will take place every Friday night from April 1st through June 24th at Theatre City Hall, a multi-purpose venue situated on Barcelona’s neuralgic center where in the in the beginnings of the XIX century, was built the Barcelona Theater, one of the oldest in town. The focus will be on deep, club-ready fare and microhouse, kicking off April with german dúo Cab Drivers performing Live alonsgide residents Sampol and Rick Maia, following up with infamous russian club ARMA 17 takeover with Andrey Zots, Anushka and many more representing the crew alongside Checkpoint’s resident Sonodab. On 15th Vinyl Club will be the invited guest having canadian wizard The Mole supported by Checkpoint resident Rainer and Luc Ringeisen all behind decks.
Just before ending up April the ritual monthly collab with italian crew Loud-Contact bringing an ensured highlight as is Panorama Bar resident Margaret Dygas (April 22nd) for having serious grooves as a prelude of Voigtmann, Isherwood and resident Baraso‘s month closing.
Summer’s early signs will see how Movement Torino lands at the city having on board Half Baked frenchman Seuil and Tolga Fidan performing his subtle house live (May 6th), freeform analogue modular synth improvisator Steevio with Suzeebe taking care of visuals on May 13th monthly collab Loud Contact counting with Detroit’s myth Daniel Bell and Vera.
Facing June: Mandar live ( live supergroup formed by talented producers Lazare Hoche, S.A.M. and Malin Génie) , Birdsmakingmachine collective, Off Week event with EKLO crew and Residents night to close the quarter.
